"A mind is like a parachute; it doesn't work if it isn't open"

~ Frank Zappa.

What is mindfulness? Have you ever observed and focused on your presence? It's easy to state but not that easy to practice mindfulness is an essential human ability to be present at where you are to keep a check on the things around you and what's happening around you. It's a human ability not to be overwhelmed, overreact, or totally unaware of what you are doing and your surroundings. The goal of mindfulness is not to quiet your mind and focus on eternal peace. It is staying in the present, with attentiveness without interpretation and judgment. Mindfulness can help you manage your mental health, feelings, and thoughts.

Mindfulness Involvement in our daily life:

What is the involvement of mindfulness in our lives? We are unaware of the importance of mindfulness. Although mindfulness is human nature yet a lot of us lose the peak of ability in the hassle of life. Now the question is how to get back your mindfulness? How to practice this ability? Anyone can practice mindfulness. With faith, you don't have to fit yourself into a particular category. You don't have to be religious for this practice.

Ways To Be Mindful:

By following these few steps, you can get mindful:

  1. First of all, don't rush! Stay calm, consider if the phone is ringing, don't rush to pick up the phone first, take a deep breath, pause, and then go to the phone practice living in the moment.

  2. Remember! Our thoughts scatter at the time, but this is the actual practice, return to the present, again and again, don't wander with your thoughts no matter how many times your mind carries away, just remember that you have to get back to your natural position. Easier said than done, we all know.

  3. Don't be hard on your mind! Yes, you have to practice mindfulness, living in the moment, but don't push your mind to the extreme. Be gentle; kindly bring back your mind to the present.

  4. Practicing Mindfulness meditation helps us suspend judgment and unleash our natural curiosity about the workings of the mind, approaching our experience with warmth and kindness to ourselves and others.

  5. Yoga is a mindful exercise itself. It helps us release the toxic thoughts from our heads. It is a practice of coordinating with the environment we breathe in. involvement of these practices in daily life can help us achieve mindfulness.

How Mindfulness Involves Mental Health:

As said, "healthy mind, healthy life", and healthy life are good mental health; mindfulness involves mental health. We all sometimes go through stress, tension, and feeling low; these phases pass gradually, but they can leave a long-term lousy impact on some people. Mindfulness practice can get you through these phases; it can have extreme advantages in your daily life to deal with anxiety, depression, or acceptance of yourself. Mental health has a significant impact on our lives; with a healthy mental state, you can perform your best in daily life and be better at your workplace and with your relationships. According to research, mindfulness has a prime role in your mental health. Mindfulness provides health to your body, brain, and your behavior. All these factors involve the betterment of your mental health.

As Daniel J Siegel said: "Mindfulness is a form of mental activity that trains the mind to be aware of awareness itself and to pay attention to one's attention."

Mindfulness is the practice of enjoying your present life instead of living in your past thoughts or bad experiences. Its practice helps you get through your habit of feeling low and get over anxiety and depression. People have confused terms like mindfulness these days. Still, mindfulness is simply the behavior of awareness about living in the present, accepting yourself and others without judging; it's a simple practice that helps us lead to a healthy mental state.

How to be Mentally Available:

According to studies by Kahn, being not available in the present is a psychological-emotional event that affects the individual's eligibility to be cognitively available to work. It denotes emotional and cognitive sources, which people need to be able to do their basic tasks; being mindfully available is a sense of owning the physical, emotional, and cognitive resources they require to signify themselves, interlock, and connect with an extant social system.

Being physically available at a place doesn't mean your mind is also there as humans; this thing is normal, and that happens that our thoughts carry away our minds to a different world. To deal with this, mindfulness practices are done; these practices help you to be present in the moment you can face a lot of issues if you have a problem with absent mindfulness. The ability of mindfulness helps us betterment of our availability in daily life in our studies, workplace, and family.
